Ropes

In 1834 the steel cable has been invented. In 1865, right in the very beginnings of Berliner Seilfabrik, the company has been starting to process steel cables. Still in this tradition today we proudly fabricate the special U-Rope cable for play applications in our own rope manufacture. Thus it is guaranteed that the quality and the specification of our ropes is always in accordance with our strict standards. Moreover the direct influence on the rope process is our key to the most flexible response to the customer wishes. Consequently we are offering a broad range of rope diameters, wire cross sections and color varieties. No matter what the purpose or the loading – we have the suitable cable.

The covering of the external rope strands with Polyester- and Polyamid yarns (carpet yarn standard) ensures a maximum in abrasion-resistance and color fastness. Our steel wires, compliant to DIN 2078, are galvanized and have a sturdiness of 1770 N/mm.

For most ropes in direct reach for hands we are using four-stranded cables, according to the design of fiber ropes. The resulting coarse surface texture allows an optimal grip.
